Franconia Ridge, US

alt text

Franconia Ridge, connecting three peaks (Little Haystack, Mount Lincoln, and Mount Lafayette), is a beautiful and exposed ridge above the treeline near Franconia, NH. The hike offers a 360-degree panorama view over the White Mountains, with the ability to see the Presidential Range (incl. Mount Washington). In winter, temperatures can be extremely low, and due to the exposure of the ridgeline, there is potential for significant windchill. All in all, one of the best hikes in the US so far.
